Chelsea have boosted in their quest to sign skillful Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio, after the player made a huge demand to the Spanish club in order to continue to lace his boots there, per report.
Asensio has played most of his game of this season from the bench and he is unhappy with his pace of development. The 21-year-old star had a barnstorming start to the season but he has found himself struggling with form due to being incessantly left on the bench.
However, Asensio is among players dubbed as the future of Spanish football as he is highly rated. His prospect has seen Chelsea heavily linked with a move for him as they look to assemble a title winning team.
Antonio Conte reinforced the squad of Chelsea last summer and in the January transfer window but most of the players signed have failed to impress. Ross Barkley is yet to justify his signing and he is unlikely to get into the first team of Chelsea.
According to the Daily Star, Asensio has informed the brass of Real Madrid that he will only stay put at the club if no new star is signed in his position.
The youngster is also understood to be demanding a huge payrise.
Transfermarkt has valued him at £67.50m.
