Man United are said to do battle with Liverpool for the signing of Portuguese midfielder Joao Felix, this is according to emerging reports.
The 19-year-old has had a breathtaking spell in the Portuguese league this season – he has featured in 11 League games for Benfica and has scored four goals despite playing as a midfielder.
His barnstorming form has seen some club send their scouts to watch him. It is widely claimed that United have been watching the rising star for long but Liverpool are also admirers of the player.
United are reportedly set to offer £60m for Felix, but it is claimed that Benfica will throw it out as it is not even close to his valuation.
Even if United or Liverpool sign him, he is unlikely going to play regularly given his age and experience.
Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United have won seven games on the trot and the Norwegian has claimed he has no need of new signings until the summer.
Meanwhile, Liverpool still occupy to the top of the League and they are looking to strengthen their squad.
