Arsenal are in pole position to sign Jamaican and Bayer Leverkusen forward Leon Bailey, this is according to report.
Bailey joined Bayer Leverkusen in the January of 2017 and he has seen his stock ever on the increase since then. He failed to score in the Bundesliga in his first season but found the back of the net nine times in 30 appearances.
The 21-year-old star is a pacey and skillful winger that has an eye for goal, he combines well with attackers and midfielders to inflict damage on opposing teams. He would be an asset to any team.
Arsenal and Liverpool were heavily linked with a move for the star in the summer transfer window but non of them were able to pluck him away from the Bundesliga. The aforementioned clubs are still in the market to sign reinforcements but there is no telling if they will make an offer for him in January.
According to the Express who cited a report from Kicker, Bailey wants a move away from Bayern Leverkusen, and he has set his heart on joining Chelsea.
The report has claimed that Chelsea could table a £53.4m bid for the star which is a tad short of the player’s £55million valuation.
Sarri is not short of options on the wing but the uncertainty over the future of Willian may prompt to side to side a winger in his stead.
