French international Anthony Martial could remain at Old Trafford.
Report floating about have confirmed that the 21-year-old could be considering staying solidly put at United,despite his reluctance to pen down a deal for the club.
Martial’s decision to extend his stay at Old Trafford, may come as a shocker to many, after strongly refused to put pen to paper.
Some reports in France have been peddling rumors that talks of a deal for the French star was in the pipeline. But that’s not all, it also claimed that star’s agent is on board with the talks.
Martial had threatened to leave this month after a boring campaign under Jose Mourinho. United blocked his move to join foreign clubs this month, with Martial, keened before Mourinho’s dismissal to leave in the summer.
Sports journalist Mohammed Bouhafsi spilled the beans on the player’s future yesterday. The journalist confirmed that Martial has agreed to five-year deal hammered out by the English club.
“Anthony #Martial has reached an agreement to extend his 5-year contract with @ManUtd!
“Information confirmed by his agent Philippe Lamboley who specifies that ‘some details remain to be finalised.'”
Bouhafsi’s tweet also revealed that Philippe Lamboley, is delighted over the new deal on the horizon for his player, and has since given his nod, with few details still left to straighten out.
Martial is happy at United, and has praised caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for every snippet of advice he’s fed him with since Norwegian took the helm.
