Chelsea have snailed in the transfer window compared to the likes of League rivals Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United who have already made incredible signings so far.
However, the odds could turn in their favour as they have reportedly agreed a five-year deal with highly-rated playmaker Daniele Rugani.
The Juve defender has agreed to join the Blues this summer, a sweet move that will spread the number of defensive options in their camp.
The Italian is a solid guard for the Old Lady and despite Italy’s absence in the World Cup, he still has some decent play on both feet.
The 23-year-old could be a good replacement for the aging Cahill and struggling Brazil international David Luiz.
Via Sports Italia, Uber Chelsea revealed the Blues are already close in cutting the deal which is around €35 million.
In the same statement, it revealed that a five-year deal has been agreed, which mean Rugani will be for the long-term should the bonuses on his contract be settled sooner.
