4th summer signing? €28m-rated in-demand star drops major Manchester United transfer hint

Manchester United have been boosted in their quest to reinforce their squad with latest report indicating that Tottenham left wing back Danny Rose has dropped a huge hint that he wants to join Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho has been unimpressed with Luke Shaw and the player’s injury susceptibility has left the Red Devils boss pondering over signing a left back.

Danny Rose has been on the transfer radar of Manchester United and he revealed that he desires to return up North before he finally calls time on his footballing career.

Tottenham finished last season as runners up in the Premier League and they currently have one of the best chunk of youthful top-notch players in England. The Lily Whites have failed to bolster their squad in this transfer window despite recouping huge funds in the sale of Kyle Walker to Man City.

Rose also heaped praise on the transfer business of Man United in this transfer window.

‘I hear Mourinho may want one or two more players’.

“There are three weeks to go until the window shuts and you look at Man City and think, ‘If the window shut now they would be happy with the business they have done,’” Rose said.

“Man United, more or less, are there. Although I hear Mourinho may want one or two more players. But I am sure he’d be happy with his squad.

“As a Tottenham player I’d love to see more signings. It would lift me seeing a top player come through the door. I’ve seen a couple of players previously saying, ‘We don’t need a top signing or signings’. But I am sorry, I am not singing off the same hymn-sheet on that one.

“I will say this too: I will play up north. I don’t know exactly when, but I will get back up north and play some football somewhere. I moved away from home [from Leeds to Spurs] at 16.

“Yes I’ve got teammates who have moved away from families in South Korea and Argentina, but I have been away for over ten years now and I don’t get to see my mum that often.

“I am going to make it my priority before I retire to play football up there.”

Rose is currently recuperating from a knee injury he sustained while starring for Tottenham in January. He underwent a successful surgery and has returned to light training. However, he will not be fit enough to start the season with his club but he’s scheduled to return in September.

Man United are not left alone in his chase, Inter Milan are understood to be interested in signing the star.

According to transfermarkt, Rose is valued at 28,00 Mill. €.
