Ivan Perisic’s move to Manchester United seems to be on following reports that the player’s agent is at the club today to discuss with them.
Jose Mourinho is keen on strengthening his squad for the new season and having signed Romelu Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic this summer, he has always reiterated his desire to sign a wide-man before the transfer window closes.
And he has Inter Milan’s Perisic on his radar for some time now, a deal was expected to have been completed for him earlier this summer but Inter have been playing hardball and when it appeared United’s interest in the winger have cooled off, Football reports that his agent has met with United’s director to discuss a potential move.
According to the report, Perisic’s agent Fali Ramadani is at Man United to update them on the new development concerning Inter’s offer of a contract extension to keep Perisic at the club till 2021 with an improvement on his current salary of £3.5 million per year to £5 million per year.
Man United have had their £45 million offer for Perisic rejected by Inter with the Italian giants refusing to lower their asking price of £55 million for the Croatian international.
Ramadani is believed to have met with United directors to know their stand on the issue and whether they are ready to increase their offer for the 28-year-old. Perisic can also as an attacking midfielder or a second striker.
