Bayern Munich have dropped an improved bid for Callum Hudson-Odoi, as they prepare to complete his move away from Chelsea to Germany to join the Bavarians.
Bayern had seen four previous bids, the last, set at 35 million pounds rejected by Chelsea who are bent on keeping Hudson-Odoi until the end of the season.
Chelsea have reportedly offered Hudson-Odoi a deal worth £85,000-per-week, but it is understood the forward wants to walk away from England after seeing games hard to come by at Chelsea.
Daily Mail is hawking talks about Bayern plotting to sign the player this month, and are lining up an improved bid of 40 million pounds to reel in the star.
The same report also peddled claims that German outfit RB Leipzig have entered the race to sign the young attacker. Chelsea could be tempted to sell because Leipzig have offered to include a buyback clause in the deal which could see Blues reclaim their star in the future.
Bayern’s 40 million pounds valuation has Chelsea pinned to the wall, and Hudson-Odoi is reluctant about remaining in the outfit, despite assistant manager Gianfranco Zola praising the player’s performance.
Hudson-Odoi has played just 61 minutes of Premier League football under Sarri this term.
