It is a new era at Manchester United, this follows from the sack of Jose Mourinho as the manager of the club this week. He is the first to be fired in the first half of the season since Ron Atkinson in 1986.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has the herculean tax of proving Jose Mourinho’s failed at United by turning the form and fortunes of the side. Mourinho was heavily criticised for using an obsolete tactics but it is only the response of the players that would justify the criticism meted on the Special one.
For Solskjaer, his task would be to end the season in top four places on the table. Although United are already 11 points adrift fourth place, it is doable if the Red Devils pick form before the start of the second half of the season.
Man Utd Injuries
Solskjaer has inherited a thin squad from Mourinho, with up to seven key players ruled out of action with various injuries.
