We take a swipe of Man United probably rivals against their noisy neighbours.
David De Gea is the indisputable first choice for United. Albeit Sergio Romero had the chance in the first game, De Gea will play in-between the sticks for United.
Mourinho isn’t comfortable playing a back three. He is likely to test his new signing Victor Lindelof with first choice Eric Bailly at the heart of defense. While Lindelof is good aerially, Bailly’s tough tackle will complement the efforts of the new boy.
Meanwhile Valencia is expected to play as the right back, with Daily Blind flanking him on the left side of defense.
This is one area Jose Mourinho must bolster to remain competitive. For now, Michael Carrick can play the deep lying role in midfield along Ander Herrera – Although Fellaini is another good choice in midfield, Herrera offers more in terms of work-rate and performance and so, the Man United player of the season will be given the nod.
Paul Pogba plays in the capacity of an attacking midfielder, and the freedom given to him should aid him to link up with his friend and partner Romelu Lukaku.
Henrikh Mhkitaryan struggled to adapt to the Premier League’s style last season but he was key to Man United’s conquest of the Europa Cup last season. He will be mostly occupy the right wing in the upcoming season.
Marcos Rashford is one of Mourinho’s favorite attackers, he filled in the big boots of Zlatan Ibrahimovic last season and lead the Red Devils to a Europa Cup win. He will play from the flank while Lukaku will lead the attack.
