4-3-3, Alonso benched, Morata and Hudson-Odoi starts in Chelsea probable line-up vs Spurs

Having suffered a 3-1 defeat at Wembley Stadium in the Premier league in November, Chelsea have a point to prove when they take on Tottenham Hotspurs in the EFL Cup today.

The Blues were yet to taste defeat in the League but they were outclassed, outplayed and outscored by Mauricio Pochettino’s men in the 3-1 white-wash.

Chelsea are currently reveling in the ambiance of a good form but in Tottenham, they have a very tough opponent to play. The Blues have failed to score more than two goals in their last 11 attempts, with Eden Hazard left to play as an inverted forward.

Sarri has given up the hope of winning the Premier League but the EFL Cup presents for him a huge opportunity to clinch a title in his first season.

Chelsea injuries

Out: Olivier Giroud (ankle), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (back), Marco van Ginkel (knee)

We expect Sarri to tweak his team and hand game time to some of talented youngsters. Callum Hodson-Odoi provided two assist in the last Chelsea game, although, there are claims he will join Bayern Munich, we expect him to start.
