4-2-3-1: Torreira benched, Maitland-Niles starts in probable Arsenal line-up vs Tottenham

Arsenal are set to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup tonight at the Emirates Stadium. The game has been dubbed as a repeat of the North London derby.

The Gunners came from behind to beat Tottenham Hospur 4-2 in the League this season, confirming they have regained good form under Unai Emery. The Lilywhites have ended the last two seasons above Arsenal on the table and they are currently five points ahead of their North London rivals.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s unbeaten run in the League came to an abrupt end last weekend when they suffered a shocking defeat to Southampton in the League. Emery will now be looking to help his team get on the bounce with a victory over Tottenham.

Squads & Team News

Unai Emery is particularly short of options in defence, with injury to Rob Holding and the poor form of Laurent Koscielny. Sead Kolasinac, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Hector Bellerin are all ruled out of the game with various injuries while Shkodran Mustafi has returned to full training with he rest of the squad.

Danny Welbeck and youngster Emile Smith-Rowe are both ruled out of the game too.
