4-2-3-1: Monreal dropped, Iwobi and Mustafi starts in Arsenal probable line-up vs Newcastle

Arsenal have failed to win in their last three games, managing just two points out of a possible nine and they are now in seventh position on the League table.

The Gunners will look to give their fanbase a huge lift when they host the Magpies later today as they continue to fight for a top four place.

Arsenal have had tonnes of possessions in their last three games but the team lacks a creative spine to turn their possessions to chances. Arsenal boast of a chunk of creative players like Mesut Ozil, Alex Iwobi and Jack Wilshere and they should be able to come-off today’s game with a win.

Arsene Wenger reverted to back four against Southampton in the midweek encounter and methink Arsenal are better off playing with a four man defence. Nonetheless, we do not know if he will play similar pattern.

Germany international Shkodran Mustafi sat off the last game due to a thigh injury. He is back in action and a likely pick for today’s game.

Aaron Ramsey picked up a hamstring injury and is expected to be out of action for the rest of the year. Speaking about the injured players, Wenger said:

“Mustafi is back in training today,” said Wenger. “I don’t know if I will include him tomorrow, it’s still a little gamble and apart from that we will have to see how everybody recovers.

“We’ll see today in training, but we have no basic problem. Of course Aaron Ramsey will not be available, I said that he will be out for a little longer and that will be maybe three weeks that he is not in contention.

Santi Cazorla remains on the side line and he may not play this season.

We take a swipe at Arsenal probable line-up.
