4-2-3-1: Mkhitaryan & Lindelof starts, Marshal dropped in Man United probable line-up vs Brighton

Manchester United will be looking to put pressure on run away League leaders Manchester City when they play host to newly promoted Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion later today.

A win for United will see them move five points closer to their noisy neighbors Manchester City.

The Red Devils were defeated by Chelsea before the international break but bounced back with a convincing win against Newcastle United last weekend and they will be looking to replicate the same feat today.

Jose Mourinho’s side was boosted with the return to action of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo and he will be hoping that they are fit for the most part of the season.

Eric Bailly and Phil Jones are currently sidelined with injuries since the interlull and Mourinho has revealed that the pair will not be featuring for the game today.

Mourinho told MUTV: “They are out. But we are okay because we have Smalling, Rojo and Lindelof.”

While Ibrahimovic also featured against Basel in the Champions League, Mourinho reckons that he will manage the fitness of the player.

Pogba has also returned to the game but he is not played for 90mins yet and Mourinho claims that French star cannot play for more than 70mins for now.

He said: “Paul is still on this process where he cannot reach the fatigue limit, he cannot go more than 65 to 70 minutes because that’s when fatigue normally arrives and with so many matches consecutively we need to protect such an important player for us.”

We take a swipe at how United could line up against Brighton.
