4-2-3-1: Lichtsteiner and Koscielny starts in Arsenal probable line-up vs Southampton

Arsenal are unbeaten in 22 games in all competitions, Unai Emery will be looking to preserve this ongoing-record as the Gunners take on Southampton.

Arsenal have struggled this season but somehow they have been able to extend their longest run, which is 28, without a defeat since the November of 2007 after thumping Qarabag last Thursday in a Europa League game.

In terms of goals, Arsenal have scored the second highest number of goals (35) after 16 games in the League. Apparently, the defence are letting them down with an alarming number conceded.

Emery has continued to reiterated that the team is working hard to get it right in every aspect of their squad.

Arsenal Injuries

The Gunners are on of the clubs worse hit with injuries. Rob Holding and Danny Welbeck have undergone successful surgeries but they will not be back in action until next season.

Emery claimed earlier in the week that the Gunners are already looking to strengthen their backline in January.

Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil are fit and available after sustaining minor injuries.

Dinos Mavropanos had a set back but he’s expected to be back in full training before the close of the year.

Meanwhile, Laurent Koscielny is back after a long-term Achilles issue and could be in the starting line-up today.
