4-2-3-1: Guendouzi starts in probable Arsenal line-up vs Sporting

Arsenal take on Sporting Lisbon in a return leg encounter but who will start for the Gunners.

The Gunners started the season slowly but they have been able to maintain a good form – the North London club are yet to lose a game in their last 14 encounters and they have an impeccable record in the Europa League cup.

A win for Arsenal today will see them qualify for the next round of the competition, and the morale of the side will greatly boosted ahead of their Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderer.

The Gunners occupy fifth position on the Premier League log and if their recent form is anything to go by, they will not end the season without a trophy.

Arsenal team news

Arsenal have played this season without their best centre-backs and they go into this game without these key stars – Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal and Konstantinos Mavropanos are not in contention for the game tonight.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Carl Jenkinson are reported to be banjaxed also and will not feature tonight. Meanwhile, Mohamed Elneny has returned to action but he’s short of fitness.

We expect Emery to rotate his squad but we take a swipe at the possible line-up.

(4-2-3-1) Cech; Lichtsteiner, Holding, Sokratis, Kolasinac; Xhaka, Guendouzi; Iwobi, Ramsey, Welbeck; Aubameyang.
