4-2-3-1 formation with Rashford: Man United probable line-up vs Barcelona

Manchester United are enjoying  a good run of form in their pre-season games and they will be hoping to replicate the same when they take on Barcelona in the International Champions Cup in Washington on Thursday.

The Red Devils marquee signing Romelu Lukaku has hit the ground and is already running following his big money move. He’s already found the back of the net twice in four games and he looks to be building a good understanding with his friend and teammate Paul Pogba.

United also have Victor Lindelof playing at the heart of defence but he will test him along Eric Bailly and Mourinho will be looking to ensure that the pair understand themselves. Mourinho has spent heavily in the transfer window but the Portuguese tactician is poised to bolster his squad.

While Barcelona are looking to keep Neymar within their fold, we take a swipe at how Man United may line-up against the Catalan Club.

David De Gea will be the Man in-between the sticks for the Red Devils. Mourinho has played down reports of a possible move for the player.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah shone in the game against Madrid but he will give way to Valencia who will occupy the position next season, while on the left Daley Blind is likely to continue. For the first time, we are likely to see Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly as it is given that they will be first choice for Mourinho.

Paul Pogba’s craft in midfield makes him indisputable, we expect him to lead the midfield and behind him will be two pivots in Michael carrick  and Marouane Fellaini.

Martial was exception in the last game, he is likely to give way to Rashford, who would play from the left wing, and flanking him would be Henrikh Mkhitaryan on the right. Lukaku is the only out-and-out striker for Mourinho, he will continue as the lead attack.
