4-1-2-3: Pogba dropped, Fred starts in Man United probable line-up vs Leicester City


Manchester United will kick start their Premier League campaign with Foxes Leicester City on Friday.

The Red Devils will welcome Claude Puel’s side at Old Trafford and it promising to be a thrilling encountered.

United are without a pool of their best players who sustained injury in their last pre-season friendly clash with German champions Bayern Munich.

Mourinho will hope to put his pedal to the metal in the game against the Foxes even without captain Antonio Valencia, summer signing Diogo Dalot, Marcos Rojo and midfield enforcer Nemanja Matic.

Valencia could be left out of the squad on Friday after suffering a knock on his calf against San Jose Earthquakes.

Nemanja Matic suffered a bummer, going down with an abdominal injury.

Newboy Diogo Dalot has been sidelined with a knee injury, which means Mourinho will be left with no other choice than to give a considerable amount of playing time to Matteo Darmian at the right-back berth, while playing Luke Shaw on the left side of his defensive third.

Shaw has enjoyed some personal fitness under his belt while on holidays in Dubai, and should prove reliable at the backline.

Rashford will be given a chance at starting against the Foxes, troubling with his threatening runs, evident in his World Cup campaign for England, as Romero Lukaku is yet to return to the club.

Meanwhile, Paul Pogba amid worries about his future at the club will remain at Old Trafford. The 26-year-old could however be omitted in the Special One’s midfield options against Leicester City on Friday.
