Arsene Wenger have lost a lot of battles in the transfer window and it appears that he unwilling to learn from his past experience. Players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Angel Di Maria and the likes were all being followed by Arsenal at one time but the frugal nature of the Wenger did not let us sign any of them.
Manchester United striker Anthony Martial is in the same category as a player coveted by Arsenal but signed by a more pragmatic club. Arsenal are yet again linked with a move for the French star but reports have indicated that he wants to continue lacing his boots for the Red Devils despite not getting regular starting berth.
Since the appointment of Jose Mourinho as the helms man of United, Martial has been reduced to playing second fiddle football but his form has been barnstorming regardless. He’s started in only four games in all competitions this season but has scored five goals and provided six assists.
Martial was linked with a move to Inter Milan in the summer but United refused their offers for the stars. He has been linked with a move to Arsenal as a replacement for contract rebel Alexis Sanchez but reports according to Manchester Evening News claims he’s happy with life at the Fortress of Old Trafford.
Martial has been competing for places with Marcus Rashford in the team of United but he appears content with the bit-part role.
Jose Mourinho will never sell a player of Martial’s quality to Arsene Wenger unless that players runs down his contract and decided on an Arsenal transfer.
