£35m-rated Man United transfer target undergoes medical with Chelsea, player opted for Blues move

The reigning Premier League Champions Chelsea are on the verge of joining the top Guns of the League as one of the Clubs that have already bolstered their squad ahead of the upcoming season.

We understand that Chelsea’s transfer prime of Monaco Tiemoue Bakayoko has arrived London and ha concluded his medicals ahead of a sensational £35m switch from the French Champions, this is according to the Mirror.

The 22-year-old has longed been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge amid keen Manchester United interest but he has opted to snub United in favour of Chelsea.

The report claims that Bakayako met with the Medical staffers to go through some physical checks and the announcement of the deal is expected to be made on the opening day of the transfer window

In N’golo Kante, Chelsea currently has the best central midfielder in the Premier League but the deal for Bakayoko could see the Blues with the best midfield pair in the League.

The signing of Bakayoko would inadvertently affect Nemanja Matic but the Serbian star is on the radar of Man United and a unity between the two might just be on the offing. Matic has been a transfer subject for Man United and this report is expected to accelerate a Red Devils deal for him.

Bakayoko is expected to become Chelsea’s first summer signing.
