£35m bid tabled: Man United on the verge signing 37-goal playmaker

Manchester United have signaled their interest in signing Brazil and Benfica attacking midfielder Anderson Talisca, this is according to report.

Mourinho made it clear after the January transfer window that he would be in the transfer market mainly for the signing of midfielders – the Red Devils have a plethora of midfielders but most of them are defensive minded and they are not looking to add spark of creativity to their game.

Although, United have already secured the capture of Fred, they are looking to sign his compatriot as their third summer signing.

Dubbed as the new Yaya Toure, Talisca has spent the last two seasons on loan at Besiktas but he reportedly sees himself lacing his boots away from the Turkish League next season. Besiktas has an £18.4m option to buy the 24-year-old midfielder on a permanent deal but the lure of playing in the Premier League leaves United with a massive advantage to sign him.

According to O’jogo, Man United have tabled a  £35million bid for Talisca but they might have to up their bid as two other Chinese clubs have matched the said bid.

With a bidding war over his signature, Talisca is expected to meet with his representatives in the coming days in bid to decide on his future.

The playmaker scored 37 goals in 78 appearances for Besiktas in all competitions over the course of the two years he spent with them.
