While Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool are looking for quality options to strengthen the Reds team in the transfer window, they are poised to clear out players that are surplus to the requirement of the Anfield Club.
According to report by Goal, French star and Liverpool centre-back Mamadou Sakho has agreed personal terms to join London Club Crystal Palace.
The French star joined Liverpool from Paris Saint Germain in the summer of 2013 in an £18 m deal. He continued in the squad of the Reds team as a starter. However, he became out of favour last season after he was sent home by Jurgen from their squad ahead of last term’s pre-season tour for not respecting the rules laid by Klopp.
Consequently Sakho was demoted to the reserve team of the Mugsmashers in the professional developmental League for several misdemeanor – that signaled the beginning of the end of his Liverpool career.
He spent the second half of last season with Crystal Palace on loan and and it appears they still want him. He picked up a niggling injury at the latter stage of the Premier League last term but his impressive displays helped the Eagles to avoid relegation.
Liverpool are understood to be holding out for £30m for him but the chairman of Palace, Steve Parish has said he will not pay over the odds for Sahko. Nonetheless, we wait to see if they will budge to our demand for the player.
Sakho has no future with Liverpool as it appears, it will be better to cash in on the player.
