£30.6m bid accepted; Chelsea reach agreement for first summer signing

It was widely report on Thursday that Juventus’ Daniele Rugani had agreed personal terms to join Chelsea on a five year deal but there is a new twist in the report this morning in favour of the Blues.

Chelsea are yet to sign any player in this transfer window but they have been heavily linked with a move for the 23-year-old Italian centre-back, and it appears that they have won the race for his signature.

The report of the deal was first peddled by Sport Italia and it got the fan base of the west London club very excited as they know the quality of the rock solid Italian defender.

And now, for the fans of Chelsea sitting on the edge of their seat, there appear to be light at the end of tunnel – the Blues have reached an agreement with the Old Lady for the player to complete a  £30.6million plus bonuses move, claims the Metro.

Part of Chelsea’s undoing for the immediate past season was the inability of the defense to keep things tidy. David Luis was injured for the most part of the season, with the inexperienced Andreas Christensen left to be the last man in the defense of Chelsea. With Rugani, Chelsea will have another quality option to choose from.

Sarri is due to take over from Antonio Conte and he is expected to fortify the squad of the Blues with top-notch players from the Seria A.
