3-year deal agreed! Powerful midfielder confirms Manchester United deal – Not Matic

In a bid to secure the future of the Club, Manchester United are not leaving anything to chance as they are also ensuring that they keep unearthing talented youngsters for the Club.

According to a report by Manchestereveningnews, New Zealand youngster Ethan Galbraith has agreed to join Man United and he reveals that he is delirious about the move.

It was Manchester United’s scout Tony Coulter that spotted the 16-year-old defensive midfielder playing for Linfield U-16 side. He was handed a trial and impressed the Officials of Man United.

He had penned down a pre-contract agree with United in the January of this year but he is due in Manchester this weekend to complete a three-year deal with Club. The deal includes a one-year scholarship followed by a two-year professional contract with the Red Devils.

Speaking to the Irish Mirror, Galbraith said:

“I went on a couple of trials last year after I was spotted playing for Linfield U16s. I must have done okay because United then offered me a contract in January.

“The trials were good, and I was playing with top players as well. Players like Angel Gomes who is moving onto the first team now.

“I played in a couple of friendly games and also some training sessions and it was a great experience.

“I signed the pre-contract in January and I will finally travel over to Manchester this weekend to live there and sign my full deal.

“It is one-year scholarship and then two-year pro deal. I will be playing with the Under 18s next season, but the big aim is to progress to the first team.”

He will join  Kieran McKenna’s u18 set-up after completing the move as they prepare for their pre-season training.

Mckenna will manage the player and other exciting Man United youngsters and we hope to see some of them transformed into super stars in the colours of Man United.

Meanwhile, Man United may be nearing a deal for Alvaro Morata after the players wife took to Social Media to hint on a possible move.

Galbraith is an Arsenal fan and he Captains Northern Ireland U17s.
