Arsenal will kick-start their pre-season games with a friendly match against Western Sydney Wanderers on Thursday and we expect to see the Gunners for the first time since a horrendous season.
Arsenal have been on the chase of Alexandre Lacazette since last summer but they had a breakthrough in his deal after Lyon accepted a £52.7 million (A$90 million) for him. But his signing was preceded by the signing of Bosnia-Herzegovina international Sead Kolasinac, who joined as a free agent but the aforementioned players are expected to play their first games for the club on the tour.
On the tour, Arsenal currently have a plethora of attackers not restricting new signing Alexandre Lacazette, Oliver Giroud, Danny Welbeck, Alex Iwobi, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain but it is the inclusion of the new french striker that makes the Gunners fans excited.
Arsenal are without Alexis Sanchez, Shkodran Mustafi and Hector Bellerin who were given extended break due to their exploits for their countries. Meanwhile, Laurent Koscielny and Lucas Perez were also left out but the future of the latter is being a subject of huge speculation.
While we expect Wenger to rotate his squad and field in several of the youngsters on tour, the game will give us an opportunity to see Lacazette play. Wenger revealed on Tuesday that he will stick with the 3-4-4 formation of last season and so we run a rule of how Arsenal may line-up tomorrow.
