The fact Marcus Rashford is a graduate of the famous Man United academy, is good enough reason that the Red Devils continue to invest in youngsters and appears as though English youngster Ryan Sessegnon would be the latest entrant at the club.
Sessegnon joined Fulham in 2008 in their u-9 team and his progress has been unprecedented. His talent has not gone unnoticed in the Premier League with reports according to Sky sports claiming that he was subject to a whopping £25m bid from Tottenham earlier in the summer.
The report stated that Fulham had rejected Tottenham’s bid for the star and it would take a huge offer to prise the star away from Whites. However, United have now emerged as front runners for his signature and they are willing to allow the player remain at Fulham on loan after putting pen to paper for them.
The youngster had a barnstorming debut season for Fulham last term, where he featured 30 times for them. He played predominantly as a left full back but his attacking prowess suggest he could as well be used in an attacking role.
Sessegnol signed a three year deal with his club this summer and he made bare his mind over the new deal.
“I’m excited to see what’s in front of me at this club,” he said at the time.
“Hopefully we can all push on now. Last year I got a lot of opportunities from the gaffer, and I just want to continue that.
Jose Mourinho has a plethora of options for the left back position and it will certainly take Sessegnol time to break into the squad of United. With transfer deadline day approaching, he could be subject to another bid.
