Former Chelsea star Nathan Ake has dismissed reports that he could be joining Manchester United or Tottenham, according to reports.
Ake is one of the breakout stars from the Chelsea academy. After breaking into the first team of Chelsea, he found himself playing bit-part role and he decided to join Bournemouth.
Since joining the Cherries on a permanent deal in the summer of last year, the 23-year-old has seen his stock increase. He has consistently impressed at the heart of defense of his club and he has attracted the interest of several clubs.
United and Mauricio’s Pochettino’s men have been mentioned to be on his chase. Nonetheless, the Dutch defender has claimed he is fully focus on his spell with Bournemouth.
“Yes, I’ve also seen it pass by, but of course it’s rumours,” www.football-oranje.com quoted Ake as saying.
“At the moment I play everything at Bournemouth and that goes well, so I focus on that.”
Manchester United have had a dismal start to life in the Premier League, leaving Jose Mourinho with no choice than to seek reinforcement in the January transfer window. The Red Devils have been linked with a move for several players including defenders.
Meanwhile, it is widely reported that Ake would join Tottenham but he has quelled those reports too.
He said: “If I’ve already signed in London? No, certainly not.
“This does not say much about my status yet, they are rumours that come on the internet and as long as I do not hear anything myself, I will not go into that.”
