Jose Mourinho has blamed the poor form of Manchester United on the dearth of quality players in some aspects of his squad. The Club is expected to sign reinforcements when the January transfer window is re-opened.
According to a latest report by Aksam , Man United could be on the verge of signing 18-year-old centre-back Ozan Kabak after Galatasaray president Mustafa Cengiz met with officials of United over a deal for the promising star.
Ozan is mentioned among 10 players to watch out for by UEFA and he has been keenly watched by Premier League clubs. Manchester City have been mentioned as suitors for the player but United as it claimed, have watched the rising star over the recent weeks.
The report by Aksam claim Galatasaray are sure that the player would want to leave but they will only accept offers in the region of €20m to allow him leave.
One of the problems of United this season is the inability of the defence to keep things tidy at the back. While many names have been mentioned as target for United ahead of January, Ozan would be a player of the future should any club sign him.
Mourinho is one manager that hardly give chances to inexperienced footballers. It will take a great deal of convincing for Ozan to get a place even on the bench of United.
