Although United got the better of Benfica in both legs of the Champions league, Jose Mourinho is reportedly impressed with the heroics of the 18-year-old.
Svilar was responsible for their lose in Lisbon as he carried the ball into the net from a Rashford’s free-kick. He also scored an own goal in the return leg but not before he save a penalty.
Portuguese media outlet, Correio da Manha are laying claims to the fact that Mourinho has laid bare his desire to sign him to the club’s president Luis Filipe Vieira.
Jose Mourinho has been found patronising Benfica in the transfer market lately and the report has claimed that Svilar could be his latest buy from the club. Victor Lindelof join United from Benfica in the summer while he also signed players like Angel Di Maria, David Luiz, Nemanja Matic and Fabio Coentrao while with Chelsea and Real Madrid respectively from the same club.
