Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi appear to be a social media enthusiast as he has been found very active on Twitter. The Belgian has responded to racist chant leveled at them from the stance when Borrussia Dortmund took on Atalanta in the Europa Cup on Thursday night.
After falling down the selection pecking of Antonio Conte, Batshuayi joined Dortmund on a six months loan deal in January and he has already assumed the position of a very potent striker – the 24-year-old Belgian has featured in five games and has already scored as many goals.
Batshuayi was a thorn in the flesh of Atalanta defenders in the first leg of the game as he scored twice. The Chelsea man was also named as the lead attack for the Westfalenstadion outfit last night and he helped his side qualify for the next stage of the competition.
The Belgian striker was a subject of ridicule as some Atalanta fans abused his racially. Nonetheless, he did not allow the chant meted on him to get to him.
Batshuayi reacted to Chelsea’s draw against Barcelona in the Champions League this week and he has garnered alot of friends online.
It is hoped that UEFA will take action into the allegations leveled at the fans of Atalanta.
