One area that Manchester United are condemned to strengthen is the midfield and this has seen them linked with a move for a plethora of schemers. The latest player on the radar of Manchester United is Germany and Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos, per reports.’
Kroos has been a key figure for Real Madrid since he moved from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2014, leading them to two Champions League trophies. He can play the central midfield role or as a box-to-box midfielder, making him an ideal target for Jose Mourinho.
There has been no synergy between Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic in the midfield of the Red Devils, with reports claiming that Pogba will be sold at the end of the season. Whether Pogba leaves or not, Jose Mourinho is looking to fortify his midfield for the upcoming season.
Sportwitness have reported that Man United made offers to sign Kroos, with the player already setting his sight on furthering his career away from the Santiago Bernabeu. The report went further to claim that Jose Mourinho has sanctioned a move for the star and has asked the brass of United to do all they can to sign the midfielder.
Jose Mourinho has blamed his failure to win the Premier League on the lack of top-notch players and so, he is determined to sign Kroos, which will be a morale booster to his squad.
Transfermarkt has valued Kroos at £72.00m.
