Mourinho is reportedly interested in Tottenham’s Full-back, Danny Rose who is currently not in good terms with Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino despite limited financial resources, José Mourinho is planning on getting a full-back in January to bolster his squad to push for the league title.
Mourinho believes some signings must be made in January if they must keep pace with Manchester City in their quest to win the Premier League. Apart from Danny Rose, Mourinho is also monitoring Thomas Lemar who plays for Monaco.
According to Mourinho, Thomas Lemar can offer a great help to his backline as he can comfortably play as a wing-back despite being a midfielder.
Mourinho is also interested in Mesut Ozil and Julian Draxler but he may have to wait till the end of the season due to lack of funds, but Ozil may arrive on a free transfer if the Arsenal board fail to tie him down to a new contract
According to BBC Sports, the United board advised the Portuguese coach to offload some of his fringe players. This was the outcome of the meeting between the coach and Manchester United board last Friday.
As a result, Mourinho is set to let go of Luke Shaw, Marouane Fellaini, Darmian Matteo, and Ander Herrera during the January transfer window.
