Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have been alerted to the availability of Spanish and Real Madrid attacking midfielder Marco Asensio, according to reports.
Following a string of barnstorming performances at the start of the season, Asensio was dubbed as the heir apparent to Cristiano Ronaldo but he has seen his stock drastically reduced in the second half of this season.
Asensio has played most of his games for Madrid from the bench this season despite the poor forms of players like Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema.
Real Madrid have endured a torrid season the La Liga and they are currently 17 points off the pace in their La Liga chase, this has angered the Club’s Chief Executive Florentino Perez, who is said to be planning a major overhauling of the squad.
Los Blancos have been heavily linked with a move forMan United’s David De Gea, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Tottenham’s Harry Kane. Reports have claimed that the Santiago Bernabeu outfit are preparing to sell Asensio in order to fund the transfer of the aforementioned duo.
According to Don Balon, Perez is reluctant to sell Asensio but he sanction a swap deal with United for Asensio that will include De Gea.
The report went further to claim that De Gea is first priority for Perez but they have also lined Harry Kane and Eden Hazard as target for swap deal with Asensio should a move for De Gea fails.
