Manchester United receive massive boost ahead of crunch derby tie

Manchester City will visit Manchester City in their next Premier League game and Pep Guardiola has revealed that he will feature a major chunk of his second fiddle player in the game, per reports.

City has had an unbelievable good season this term, with despite seven more games to wrap up the season, they are just a win away from clinching the title.

Guardiola side were placed against Liverpool in the Champions league with both fixtures coming in-between the Manchester United game. The Spanish manager has revealed that he will field a weakened team against Manchester United, as he has set his sight heavily on the Champions League tie against Liverpool.

He said: “Of course I want to win against United at home but we have three days before we have Liverpool, afterwards we have three days before United and after we have three days before the second leg, so few recovery days.

“You have to use all the squad but that doesn’t mean the guys who play are not going to prepare to win.

“If we are in the position we are now in the Premier League it is because everyone has made his own contribution.

“That is going to happen. But I am sorry, as a manager, now Liverpool will occupy all my head.”

Liverpool are the biggest rivals and threat to Manchester City this term as they are the only ones that were able to deny the league leader three points in their home.

Manchester City have a nearly fit squad With Fabian Delph and Sergio Aguerro the only players that are currently recovering from injury.

Guardiola was further quizzed by fans about the plan on Twitter and he made further clarification with the response:

“We are going to adapt the Premier League game against United with respect to the Liverpool games in the Champions League. The line-up will be thinking about Liverpool.

“For the supporters I can understand. I’m a Barcelona supporter and we were able to win the league at home to Real Madrid and that is so special.”
