Reports linking Manchester United with the signing of Benfica youngster Umaro Embaló have refused to go down as the club appear to have reignited interest on the player.
Manchester United are investing heavily on young starlets and their searchlight have been on Embalo. United came close to signing the 16-year-old star in the November of last year but a disagreement over the transfer fee scuppered the move.
GFN reported at that time that Benfica reached a €15m agreement with RP Leipzig for the player but that report was proved wrong as the deal collapsed he remained in Portugal.
The player’s agent Catio Balde has claimed that Man United are yet interested in the player services and this has stirred a deluge of report that United will make another move for her, as claimed by Sportwitness.
However, United will have to compete with Bundesliga side side RP Leipzig for the player’s signature but United have the resource to outbid the club.
Embalo can play on the wing and his skillful ability has seen many enthusiast liken him to his idol Angel Di Maria. He has been tipped to have a great future but at Manchester United, it will take him some time to break into the first team of the side.
