Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly monitoring the development of Benfica’s youngster Umaro Embalo who plays for Benfica under-16 side.
Umaro 16,is a Guinea-Bissau born player capable of scoring goals with reckless abandon. The youngster has scored 15 goals in just 19 appearances for the cadet team of Benfica.
Manchester United are eager to seal the signature of the youngster so as to wade off any interest from other clubs across Europe and beyond.
Javier Ribalta,United’s chief scout and JohnMurtagh,head of development were both sent to watch Umaro while playing against Manchester United during UEFA youth Champions League in October.
Mourinho is a coach who has so much trust in black players and has worked with many African players among them are Chelsea former players Didier Drogba, Salomon Kalou, Mikel Obi,Michael Essien, and current player Victor Moses during his time as Chelsea coach.
He also worked with Samuel Eto’o both at Chelsea and Inter Milan. The Portuguese currently works with Eric Bailly as Manchester United boss.
He looks forward to developing the player once the deal is done.
Umaro is a left-footed winger who plays exactly like Cristiano Ronaldo when the now Real Madrid legend first arrived Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon in 2003.
He will be hoping to quickly break into United first team when the deal is completed.
