Since appointed as the manager of Manchester United, Jose Mourinho has been rebuilding the team of the Red Devils but the squad is a tad thread bare in middle. Nonetheless, Mourinho has another chance of reinforcing his squad when the transfer window comes alive in the summer.
According to report, Man United have receive a massive boost to sign Monaco and Brazilian midfielder Fabinho, after the midfielder laid bare his desire to join the Red Devils.
Fabinjo joined Monaco in the summer of 2013 on a loan deal but having impressed for the French side, the deal was made permanent after two seasons. Since then, the Brazilian has seen his stock ever on the increase as he has bossed the midfield of the Ligue One holders.
The 24-year-old attracted interest from several European clubs last summer but after they sold a chunk of their stars, they opted against selling Fabinho. He was linked with a move to Man United last summer but the Sun has reported that the player has laid bare his desire to lace his boots for the Red Devils under Jose Mourinho.
This comes at a time when Man United are preparing for life after Michael Carrick and probably Marouane Fellaini – Carrick has decided to call time on his playing career and he has been given a position the backroom of the club. Meanwhile, the future of Fellaini remains bleak and United have made the signing of a midfielder top priority.
He is currently valued at £55m.
