Premier League giants are set for a crunch competition for Arsenal’s want-away midfielder Aaron Ramsey as Liverpool join the race for his signature.
It was earlier reported that Chelsea are set to complete a move for the Welshman who could be leaving the Emirates stadium in the summer after refusing to renew his contract. But there is a twist in the player’s future as Daily Star now claim that Antonio Conte has been joined by Manchester United manager José Mourinho and Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp in the race for his signature.
Daily Star further suggest that the Blues now look set to miss out on the Wales international as the Red Devils are ready to spend big on the player this summer.
Ramsey could cost his interested suitors nothing less than £40million according to transfermarkt, and United could just be the next destination for the 26-year-old midfielder.
The Red Devils might be short of players at the middle of park next season as Maroune Fellaini, Ander Herrera, and Paul Pogba are linked with a move out of Old Trafford. The Portuguese tactician must therefore seek for their replacements during the summer transfer window and he’s eyeing a move for the Arsenal man.
United were able to snatch Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal last winter, they will be hoping to the same with Aaron Ramsey this summer. The Welshman has featured in 320 matches for the Gunners since making his debut in 2008, he has also scored 54 goals in the process.
