Manchester United have entered the race to sign in-demand Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio, this is according to reports.
Asensio started the season brightly as he played in the stead of injured Gareth Bale but the young Spaniard has found himself wallowing on the bench more of than not in the recent matches of Los Blancos, and there are reports that he wants out of the Club.
Asensio has featured in 19 La Liga games this season but he has come on as a substitute in as much as half of those game despite the poor form of Gareth Bale, Christiano Ronaldo and karim Benzema – he has scored eight goals in all competitions for Madrid but he is not favoured by Zidane.
The 22-year-old has been constantly linked with a move to Chelsea as probable replacement for Eden Hazard but the now have a transfer tussle on their hands. Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda claims that Man United, Manchester City and Bayern Munich have approached the Santiago Bernabeu outfit over a potential move for the Spaniard.
He said on El Chiringuito TV: “Asensio has offers from Bayern, City and United but Real declares he is untransferable.”
Real Madrid are shockingly 17 points off the pace in the La Liga race and there are speculations that the team will be overhauled next summer, with funds recouped from the sale of Asensio used to make major signings.
Diario Gol have also claimed United will make an attempt to sign Verane from Real Madrid following the poor form of Phil Jones.
