Napoli Brazilian midfielder Jorginho is ready to quit the Italian giants in the summer. According to the player’s agent, Jorginho is set to put an end to his Serie A career in the summer as he set his sight on the Premier League, per reports.
Manchester United and Arsenal are monitoring the Brazilian international and both teams are considering bidding for him in next summer transfer market.
The 26-year-old has been tipped as Michael Carrick’s long-term replacement. Carrick who has been with Manchester since 2006 from Tottenham could retire at the end of the season due to his heart problems.
Joao Santos, Jorginho’s agent, told Tuttomercatoweb that his client is open to offers from any club, especially the English Premier League clubs. He further revealed that the 26-year-old wants to be part of the Selecaos team to World Cup which will be hosted by Russia later in the year.
“In June, and this is true of all players, we’ll see what offers arrive. From February 1, it all begins again.”
Arsenal are also reportedly showing interest as Arsene Wenger wants to bolster his squad by adding some quality players to the team during the summer transfer window.
Jorginho joined Napoli in 2014. He has featured in 11 League games so far this season scoring two goals. Manchester United and Arsenal will need to convince the Partenopei with a huge-money offer before they could sanction his move out of the club.
Napoli remain first in the Serie A standings with 50 points. They will be in action against Atlanta on Sunday.
He is valued at £25.20m.
