Liverpool are keen on landing Roma ace shot-stopper Alisson next summer with reports suggesting they have lined up £57 million for the 25-year-old.
According to Brazilian outlet Terra via the Daily Mirror, the Reds are willing to pull all stops to land the Brazil international this summer.
On the other side, Alisson hopes any move linking him to the Merseyside club will be resolved before the World Cup in Russia.
The 25-year-old told reporters after Brazil’s big 3-0 wiin against Austria that “let’s see if something happens this week”.
Meanwhile, it is understood the Reds are trying every bit to secure the services of Stoke forward Xherdan Shaqiri after their tabled bid for Lyon star Nebil Fekir fell through.
According to David Maddock, Liverpool have been encouraged to sign the 26-year-old after a supposed good deal for Fekir fell through at the zeroth hour.
Reports suggests complications were encountered during the forward’s test which collapsed any possibility of a switch to Anfield this summer.
However, the Red have registered their interests again in old target Shaqiri and there’s a good possibility they can strike a deal with relegated Stoke City and finally land him in Anfield under tactician Jurgen Klopp.
