Lindelof benched, Lukaku & Matic starts in probable 4-3-3 Man United line-up vs West Ham


Manchester United begin their Premier League title challenge with a home match against West Ham at Old Trafford on today as Javier Hernandez returns against his former club.

United’s home record was not all that impressive last season as they drew 10 matches and Mourinho will be aiming to avoid a repeat of that as he hopes to keep the record of winning the league in his second season.

They managed to finished sixth in the English top-flight last term but qualified for the Champions League after winning the Europa League.

Mourinho has brought in reinforcements this summer with Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic added to the options at the club.

The Portuguese boss will be without long-term absentees Ashley Young, Marcos Rojo and Luke Shaw. However, summer signings- Matic, Lindelof and Lukaku are expected to make their Premier League debut for their new club. Phil Jones and Eric Bailly are also available for selection after missing the UEFA Super Cup loss to Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Former United forward Javiver Hernandez is expected to lead the line against his former side after joining the Hammers from Bayern Leverkusen this summer. The Mexican international scored 37 goals in 103 league matches for United before being sold by Louis van Gaal in 2015.

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic have brought in more additions to strengthen his team after enduring a difficult campaign last season. New signings Marko Arnautovic, Joe Hart and Pablo Zabaleta could also make their debut.
