After being knocked out of all of the other competitions, Arsenal’s only hope at a title is the FA Cup this term but a game against the Citizens could be the only stumbling block.
Arsenal have endured their worse form of the decade this season – Wenger’s men were shamed 10-2(aggregate) out of the Champions League and they are currently wallowing in 6th spot on the League table, losing four of their last five away games.
Howbeit, we are just two games away from clinching the FA Cup but Arsene Wenger will need his men to be at their best to be able to get the better of Manchester City. We saw Wenger tweaked his formation against Middlesbrough last Monday, his squad is large enough to maintain or change the way they played in the League.
Speaking ahead of the game with Manchester City, Arsene Wenger revealed the state of his squad. He confirmed that Shkodran Mustafi, Lucas Perez and David Ospina are still on the recovery pane whilst he expressed uncertainty too over Welbeck. The likes of Rob Holding, Alex Iwobi and Gabriel Paulista could be handed a start against Guardiola’s men.
Arsene Wenger has won six FA Cup trophies since he took charge of Arsenal. The French tactician will be looking to go one better than he has thus far.
