Good news: Monaco confirms they are ready to sell Thomas Lemar but on one condition

Reports linking Thomas Lemar to Arsenal have refused to go away and this morning, there seem to be a new twist and boost for the Gunners in their pursuit of the silky forward..

Lemar has been on the transfer radar of Arsenal from the open of the transfer window but the Gunners have seen their bids for the player rebuffed twice. However, Monaco appears to be willing to let go one of their priced possession but for the Gunners frugal offers..

Monaco became a hunting ground for the top Premier League Clubs this term as we have seen Bernado Silva, Tiemoue Bakayoko and even Benjamin Mendy departed the club for Chelsea and Man City this summer for the ‘right price’. The President of the French Champions Leonardo Jardim reckons that they are willing to sell and may not be able to keep some of their hunted players.

“All the players who were important last season are important to keep for the club,” Jardim  said.

“But it has been shown over the years that it’s not always possible to keep the players, and you know how our project works.

“So our goal is to work well with players who will stay here after the transfer window closes.”

However, the Sun have brought a new twist in the story with claims the Monaco will offer Lemar to Arsenal on the condition that Alexis Sanchez is including in a swap deal.

Alexis Sanchez only returned to the Gunners side this weekend after he was handed an extended break but Arsene Wenger has dispelled rumours that the Chilean will leave this club this summer. However, Monaco have recouped a large fund in this transfer window and the report claim they will tempt Arsenal with £45million for Sanchez.

Arsenal are known to be very interested in Lemar like they were in Lacazette last summer but Wenger is refusing to come to terms with the reality of the inflated transfer window. If Arsenal makes the right offers, Lemar will certainly be allowed to leave But we know Alexis Sanchez will not be allowed to switch to the other side.
