With Arsenal, transfers are just simply difficult to accomplish as they have a knack for leaving their businesses until the deadline day of the transfer window.
Chelsea are ready to include David Luiz as part of the deal to secure the signing of French forward Olivier Giroud, according to reports.
The Blues are desperate about fortifying their final third with an out-and-out centre forward and Giroud has become their prime target. When the deal is completed, Michy Batshuayi will be released to join Borrussia Dortmund on a loan deal and it will in turn free Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to join Arsenal in a £55m deal.
Chelsea had lined-up Bosnian forward Edin Dzeko as their first choice but they were forced to pull the plug in his chase over disagreements in the contract. Conte has asked the brass of Chelsea to get him a striker and it appears that they have settled for Giroud.
Meanwhile, David Luiz has fallen out of favour with Antonio Conte and reports have indicated that they willing to part ways with the Brazilian having offered him as part of the deal for Giroud. The deal for Giroud would no longer be loan since Luiz is included, claims Star sports.
Arsenal are looking to add a centre-back to their backline and they have been linked with a £25m move for Jonny Evans. With Luiz almost available on a platter of gold, Arsenal are expected to take advantage of the situation to land the Brazilian.
Apparently, Luiz wants to leave but Arsenal have valued him at £15m while Arsenal have valued Giroud at £35m – the deal makers of both Clubs will have some serious negotiations to do.
