Sheffield United star David Parkhouse has penned a new contract with the club amid strong interests from Manchester United., per HITC Sports.
It is understood United are long time admirers of the 18-year-old.
Reports milling out from news outlets say the Red Devils want the teenager and with former Sheffield’s academy coach Nick Cox now with them, they will use him to bait the teen star to Old Trafford.
But, it looks they have been handed a bummer as the 18-year-old will stay at Sheffield for the long haul after putting pen to paper.
The teenager signed a four-year deal with the outfit and so far has been amazing for the club with a good number of goals for the club at youth level.
He will remain at the club until 2020 and losing him now to the Premier League giants has been struck out by the Sheffield United.
United have had a couple of good players from their academy and adding Parkhouse to that lot with his powerful abilities in front of goal is definitely a good steal.
Sheffield lost youngster David Brooks to Bournemouth and there are hints that selling another has been crossed out.
The club want to retain Parkhouse and United will face a tough fight to sign the star.
With Parkhouse looking to remain at Bramall lane, a first team start is definitely a certainty and that’s something United may not leave on the table.
