Done deal: “I’ll miss Napoli… “, Jorginho basically confirms Chelsea move

There were rife reports on Wednesday that Jorginho was headed for London in a bid to complete a Chelsea move – that report threw the fan base of the London club into a frenzy, but they will feel more delighted after the Italy midfielder confirmed he’s departed Napoli to join Chelsea.

Jorginho has been on the radar of Manchester City since the January transfer window but Chelsea may have stolen a march on the side following their offers for him. It is also claimed that Sarri would take charge of the reins of Chelsea, which is also a major factor for Jorginho in deciding to join Chelsea.

He was quizzed at the airport about a move to Chelsea and he said:

” Chelsea move? I will miss Napoli very much so. I played there for five years and I will always be loyal to them. I had a great time in Naples as I am now getting ready for a new adventure.

Will you say hi to Sarri for us? Yes I can do that for you if you like. Who will replace you at Napoli? I have no idea, let’s see. Ok take care…”. reports Calciomercato via CalcioNapoli24.

Chelsea are yet to confirm the signing of any player in this transfer window but the imminent arrival of Sarri means we are set for an exciting transfer window..

The Blues are yet linked with a move for Daniele Rugani, Jean Michael-Seri and Gonzalo Higuain.

The signing of Jorginho could mean the end of the spell of Danny Drinkwater of Cesc Fabregas but we wait to see how all of this pans out.
