Chelsea’s search for a striker this month has seen them being linked with a move for almost all the available strikers in the world – Andy Carroll, Edin Dzeko, Peter Crouch and Ashley Barnes have all been thrown into the fray as transfer targets for the Blues.
The latest player linked with a move to Chelsea is West Ham United’s Marco Arnautovic but the bad news is that the Hammers have refused to negotiate over a potential move for the star, according to reports.
Arnautovic joined West Ham from Stoke City last summer in a £25 million deal and the Austrian forward has scored six goals and aided three in his last eight games since he was moved to the position of a lead attacker by David Moyes.
Chelsea have reportedly agreed a deal with Roma to sign Edin Dzeko but the strides of the 28-year-old Arnautonic has not gone unnoticed. He has found his form since David Moyes assumed managerial position at the East London Club.
According to the Times, Chelsea’s offers for the star has been knocked back by West Ham, who want him to remain at the Club. West Ham were willing to listen to offers for Carroll but the injury he sustained as scuppered a possible move.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are looking to offload Mitchy Batshuayi, who cannot be feeling terrific about himself, and a loan move has been mooted for the Belgian forward.
