Conte agrees to sell Eden Hazard to Real Madrid on these conditions

After clinching the Premier League title, there is much talk about how Chelsea needs to bolster their otherwise strong squad in order to remain competitive next season.

Antonio Conte knows he must continue with his rebuilding effort as he inherited an aging squad from his predecessor and he is setting his sight on Real Madrid duo Alvaro Morata and Raphael Varane, according to Starsport.

Morata has been at the top of Chelsea’s transfer list, with Conte desperate to sign his as replacement for the transfer bound Diego Costa – the striker has been playing second fiddle to Karim Benzema despite his blistering form and he wants out of the Santiago Bernabue.

However, Conte knows that Zinedine Zidane has been a staunch admirer of Eden Hazard and wants the Belgian to swap Chelsea for Madrid. As claimed by the report, the Italian tactician may have agreed to let Hazard leave but on the condition that Varane and Morata are allowed to join Chelsea.

The Blues’ interest in Varane stems from the imminent departure of John Terry, who is set to quit the club after an envious career with Chelsea. Varane would come in as long term replacement for Terry.

Chelsea are not the only club rooting for the signature of Morata, Man United are also keen on the player but he is likely to favour a Stamford Bridge move following Chelsea’s recent success in the League.
