There are players who stand out and lead a team to victory and that was the story of Manchester United and Zlatan Ibrahimovic last season – The Swedish star had an impressive Premier League debut campaign with the Red Devils.
According to reports making the rounds, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to return to Man United with the next 24-hours.
Ibrahimovic picked up a knee injury while starring for Man United in their Europa League game against Anderlecht in April and that scuppered his season with Man United.
He had joined Man United on a free transfer from Paris Saint Germain last summer, where he penned down a year’s contract. He was released by Man United this summer but Mourinho has confirmed that the striker would be handed another contract.
Zlatan was ruled out of action on the January of 2018, but the 35-year-old striker is working his way to fitness and he is likely to return ahead of schedule.
Nonetheless, a Man United source spoke with the Sun and he revealed that Ibra will be back to Carringhton training ground tomorrow.
“Zlatan will be coming back to resume his rehab from his knee operation very shortly.
“He’s been told to calm it down a bit, but that’s just not what he’s like, he’s so determined.”
Manchester United have already signed a replacement for Ibrahimovic. Lukaku joined from Everton after a huge deal was brokered but he’s the only out-and-out striker for the Red Devils at the moment.
Ibrahimovic return will be a great boost for Man United as he will provide an option for Lukaku in attack.
He scored 28-goals for Man United last season in all competitions.
